Rasgos Didácticos e identidad romana en los Commentarii in Somnium Scipionis de Macrobio
Main Article Content
Abstract
The present paper aims to study the presence of didactic features in the Commentarii in Somnium Scipionis, written by Macrobius in the fifth century A. D. Through the survey and analysis of these features we expect to achieve a double aim: on one hand, the characterization of the way Macrobius builds his own authority as a magister; on the other hand, the specification of the contents in Macrobius’ teaching, which at first sight seems to be the Neoplatonic doctrine, but in a deeper view implies many other cultural elements straightly related to the construction of Roman identity
