Abstract

The Horace's Ode 1,31 contains a prayer to Apolo as God of the medicine caused by the festivity of the Meditrinalia. The philological criticism considered this ode somewhat schematical and with scarce originality when the scholars compare it with the the rest of the odes. We try to point out its worths and to make up for the simplicity of its beauty and the strength of its authenticity delimitating the cultual elements of the poetics
